from the Kazimierz Serocki 12th International Composer’s Competition 2011
From 30th September to 2nd of October 2011 in Radziejowice Palace near Warsaw, took place the Jury Meeting of the Kazimierz Serocki 12th International Composer’s Competition. 39 scores were sent to the Competition’s from all over the world.Five works had to be eliminated because they did not comply with the rules.
The Jury: Dan Yuhas – Chairman (Israel), Ramon Anthin (Sweden), Stephen Lias (USA) and Indra Riše (Latvia) after the examination of the submitted scores decided to give the following prizes:
1. The First Prize (15.000PLN) went to Adriano Gaglianello (Italy) – „Aldebaràn”.
2.The Second Prize (10.000PLN) went to Alastair Greig (United Kingdom) – „L’ombre des arbres..”.
3.The Third Prize (5.000PLN) went to Guy Olivier Ferla (France) – „Aux Ombres De MARIACKI”.
PWM Edition’s Special Prize for the Youngest Winner – a set of Polish contemporary music scores went to Adriano Gaglianello (Italy) – „Aldebaràn”.
The awarded compositions will be performed on 17th of November 2011 in Lutoslawski Polish Radio Concert Hall, at a special concert organised by the ISCM Polish Section, European Penderecki Centre for Music and Polish Radio Channel 2.
The prizes were founded by The Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and The Authors’ Society ZAiKS.
